Expensive, awkward or heavy loads are commonplace in the construction materials supply chain and the operator experience matters more than ever. Continuous three-shift around the clock operations can be very demanding for both the trucks and their operators. Yale high-capacity trucks, such as the Yale GDP160DC, will be handling bricks and pre-cast concrete in a series of live demonstrations, showcasing their versatility in this attachment-rich industry.

Food and Beverage

Increasing productivity is the name of the game and a selection of Yale LPG and Li-ion powered trucks tailored to the food and beverage industry will show visitors how Yale can help. From factory-fitted double pallet handlers and rotator attachments on counterbalance trucks to precision control tiller heads on pedestrian pallet trucks, Yale has a solution to help improve productivity using equipment designed to manage intensive jobs, shift after shift. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn how cycle times can be reduced by up to 25% with the ingenious Yale Smart Lift feature.

From contained to a customer, the Supply Chain Solutions zone will demonstrate how Yale equipment can be utilised at every stage of the supply chain. It all starts with a shipping container and robust 8 tonne Yale counterbalance truck, before moving on to internal materials handling solutions and the important role affordable automation can play in increasing productivity. Pallet trucks with noise reduction options will be on hand to showcase equipment for night time deliveries and experts will demonstrate how Li-ion can make conventional delivery rounds that little bit easier.

Power Solutions

The materials handling world is constantly evolving and so is the way customers choose to power their equipment. Environmental concerns mean alternative power has become a focus for operations that historically relied on ICE trucks, while existing electric truck users are looking to extend shift lives, reduce battery changing times and optimise warehouse space by removing charging areas. Lead-acid batteries, Li-ion and hydrogen fuel cells will all be brought to life in the Power Solutions zone.

Chemical and Hazardous Materials

Key offerings for corrosive environments, explosion protection, gas detection, and precise drum handling will be on show in a series of exciting demonstrations in the Chemical and Hazardous Material zone. Industry experts from Yale and supplier partner, Pyroban, will be taking questions and sharing their expertise in the Yale pop-up manufacturing plant.

Dust and dirt are words visitors are likely to hear in the Paper and Wood zone! Specially developed and configured for the wood, paper and recycling applications, a high-capacity Yale Veracitor GDP35VX will be demonstrating its versatility and suitability for these harsh operating environments. Featuring a bale clamp capable of lifting up to 3 metric tonnes, a container mast for entering containers to load and unload, an underbody belly pan to prevent material entering the engine area, and a reversing fan to clear dust and debris from the radiator, this truck will be one not to miss.

“This is Yale is a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase our full materials handling capabilities,” says Iain Friar, Yale Brand Marketing Manager, EMEA. “With in-depth knowledge and experience built up over many years in a wide range of industries, this event is a great chance for us to demonstrate how we can offer solutions to meet our customers’ needs.  We understand the challenges businesses face when operating in these applications and we have worked hard to provide them with the best possible outcome.
